How To Make Your Own Body Wash

1. Distilled Water
2. Soap – you can use your favorite smelling bar soap like Meyer’s, Dove or Tom’s.  Just know that different bar soaps may yield a slightly different consistency in your finished product.
3. Vegetable Glycerin Oil – you can find this in CVS, Walgreen’s, Walmart, etc. usually it can be found in the pharmaceutical section.

The Recipe
1/2 gallon   Distilled Water
2 cups           Grated Soap
2 Tbsp.         Vegetable Glycerin Oil

1. Melt 2 cups of grated bar soap into a half gallon of distilled water. Once it is melted mix in 2 tablespoons of vegetable glycerin.
2. When it has cooled enough pour intoyour container’s for storage. You can use mason jars, milk jugs, etc. Leave room in the bottle so that you can shake up the soap. Once it is cooled and set up you will need to shake it up to get the smooth consistency you are used to.

The Breakdown
1/2 gallon Distilled Water = .50
2 cups/bars of Soap = $2.00
2 Tbsp. Vegetable Glycerin = $1.18

Total Cost = $3.68 for approx 128 oz.
